What did VIS present at HROUG 2024?

Inside HROUG: Southeast Europe’s Oracle community
HROUG is organized by the Croatian Oracle Users Group (Hrvatska udruga Oracle korisnika), and its annual conference is one of the largest gatherings of the Oracle community in Southeast Europe. It brings together database administrators, developers, architects, IT professionals, and business leaders from across the region.
The program spans Oracle databases and cloud, application development, data and analytics, security, and increasingly artificial intelligence and automation — with sessions delivered in both Croatian and English. Beyond the technical talks, HROUG is well known for its relaxed, community-driven atmosphere, where knowledge sharing continues well outside the lecture halls.
A conference on the Istrian coast
HROUG 2024 took place in Rovinj, often called the pearl of the Istrian peninsula — a picturesque town on Croatia's west Istrian coast whose old town sits on a peninsula surrounded by an archipelago of 22 islands. The conference was hosted at the Island Hotel Istra on St. Andrew's Island, just a short boat ride from the town, combining a focused conference setting with the relaxed feel of the Adriatic coast.
Two days of ideas and connections
The conference brought together IT professionals, technology experts, and business leaders for two days of insightful presentations, knowledge sharing, and networking. It provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss the latest technology trends, and connect with members of Croatia's Oracle community.
