VIS at DSC DACH in Vienna

Data Science DACH 2024, part of the renowned Data Science Conference (DSC) series, brought together leading experts, technology providers, and data professionals from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Held in Vienna on September 12–13, 2024, the conference featured four parallel tracks covering the latest developments in data engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and modern data platforms.

VIS Solutions was proud to participate as an official conference partner, using the event as an opportunity to connect with organizations navigating digital transformation and modern data initiatives. Throughout the conference, our team engaged in valuable discussions with industry professionals about the challenges of data integration, cloud migration, automation, and the future of enterprise analytics. Our exhibition stand reflected the VIS identity through visuals inspired by the Croatian island of Vis, with which we share not only a name but also a strong sense of identity. While VIS is an acronym for Vuković Intelligent Systems, the island of Vis has become a recognizable part of our brand, symbolizing innovation, authenticity, and our Croatian roots. Visitors also had the opportunity to participate in a prize giveaway for a trip to the island of Vis, adding a memorable element to the conference experience while fostering meaningful conversations with attendees from across the DACH region.

A key highlight of the event was the presentation delivered by our Founder & CEO, Miljenko Vuković, titled Automatic ETL Migration. The session addressed one of the most significant challenges organizations face during cloud modernization and technology transformation—migrating existing ETL processes to new platforms. Modern data architectures rely on efficient and scalable data integration to support business intelligence, analytics, and data science initiatives. However, replacing an existing ETL platform often requires thousands of integration workflows to be rewritten manually, resulting in considerable cost, time, and project risk. During the presentation, attendees learned how EPIC Ingenioso, VIS Solutions' automated ETL migration platform, significantly accelerates this process by converting existing ETL solutions into modern target technologies. By automating a substantial portion of migration activities, organizations can reduce manual effort, shorten project timelines, minimize migration risks, and accelerate their transition to cloud-native data platforms. Data Science DACH 2024 once again demonstrated the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the international data community.
