VIS Featured in Večernji List

Recently, our work at VIS was featured in Večernji List, one of Croatia’s leading national newspapers, highlighting our development efforts in robotic process automation (RPA) and the direction we are taking with our product VISERA.

VIS is a Zagreb-based company focused on developing practical automation solutions in the field of RPA and business intelligence. Our goal is to reduce repetitive, time-consuming manual work in business processes and replace it with reliable, scalable automation.

One of our key projects, VISERA, is an automation robot designed specifically for accounting processes in small and medium-sized enterprises. The system is built to handle the repetitive task of data entry by automatically processing invoices, payroll inputs, and other financial documents, and transferring that data directly into accounting systems. VISERA can read structured and unstructured documents, whether digital or scanned from paper and extract the relevant information needed for accounting. It then enters this data into the appropriate fields within accounting software, simulating manual user input on the screen. In more advanced workflows, the system can also support actions such as generating payment orders or preparing data for e-banking processes.

The idea is for the robot to fully automate the processing of incoming and outgoing invoices, payroll calculations, and similar accounting tasks by recording them directly into a company’s accounting system. It reads all the information required for bookkeeping, enters it into the software, and can even generate payment orders, such as supplier invoices through e-banking, automating the entire process. The software scans information from both digital and paper documents before automatically entering the extracted data into the appropriate fields of the accounting or business system. On screen, it appears as if the data is being entered by itself, explains the company's founder, Miljenko Vuković.

The project was supported through the EU “Innovation of Newly Established SMEs – Phase II” program, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and implemented in cooperation with Croatia’s Ministry of Economy and HAMAG-BICRO.

The idea behind VISERA came from years of experience in business analytics and process optimization. Manual data entry is still a significant bottleneck in many organizations, even in highly digital environments. Our focus was not only to provide automation services, but to build a product that can be deployed and licensed as a standalone solution.

The development team includes professionals with different backgrounds, combining software engineering, economics, and RPA consulting expertise. This mix has been important in shaping a solution that is not only technically solid, but also aligned with real business needs.

Continuous testing and iteration remain a key part of the development process, as the system is applied to real-world accounting scenarios. The objective is to expand compatibility with a wide range of accounting tools and create a flexible, configurable solution that minimizes the need for custom development per client.

At VIS, we continue to focus on building automation tools that solve practical business problems and reduce operational workload for organizations across industries.
